Venetia Williams continues in terrific form and I’m pleased to see HEVA ROSE up in trip here. She impressed winning readily at Lingfield last month and I think she improved in defeat chasing home Passing Well last time.
She just looked a bit tapped for toe before staying on well again so stretching out to the extended 3 miles should be perfect now. I think she has more to come and I’m keen to keep her on side. Kestrel Valley made it 3 wins in a row at Hereford when last seen and could be the danger despite a 16lb rise. Stanley Stanley is another one capable but she might do better for the run having not been seen since May.

There was lots to like about the way the scopey BROADWAY BOY galloped his rivals into submission at this track last month. He has won 2 from 3 over fences now and with more to come sent handicapping off a mark of 146 I can see him following up here. He seems to find plenty off the bridle and that should count for plenty in the closing stages here with the ground stamina sapping.
There is no obvious pace on so I think he’ll be ridden aggressively again and hopefully he proves hard to catch. City Chief shaped well when fourth on return and could be the danger. Threeunderthrufive is another one I expect to get competitive.
