I know CRUZ CONTROL was a bit workmanlike at Newcastle last month but that was just his third start over fences and he is a horse learning all the time. He kept finding more to repel Glory And Honour who is a useful enough yardstick and I think he’ll improve plenty again.

He is 5lb higher but is going the right way now and I can see him surprising a few in this as competitive as it looks. Mister Who looks the one likely to go forward and I don’t think he’ll be too far off it. The latter might actually be the main danger as he ran well beaten just 2 lengths on chase debut at Lingfield last month and will come on plenty for that and is still really lightly raced.
