Beachcomber will likely be popular here after winning well at Huntingdon. He goes handicapping now and is feared but I’m keen to side with DRAGON ROCK for Shark Hanlon. This son of Shantou was well held in Graded company on reappearance but returned to handicap company ran out an impressive winner over fences at Fairyhouse. He is back over hurdles here but is unexposed and it would be no surprise to see him go and follow up. He is a likeable type who could still have a fair bit more to come yet. Beachcomber does look the danger but Blue Bikini is also respected albeit needs to bounce back from that Chepstow blip.

The money came for LIBBERTY HUNTER on chase debut at Chepstow last month and he was set to win before coming down 3 out. He had travelled strongly into it so it was such a shame to see him tip up. He did well over hurdles and could easily make into a better chaser. If he puts that blip behind him then I fully expect him to gain compensation here before going on to better things. Aggagio stays well and if handling the larger obstacles could be the danger. He isn’t bred for fences though so that might leave Forget The Way as a greater threat. He has good form over hurdles and should run well is taking to fences at the first time of asking.
