Steve Ryder is back with three tips for today's action.
12:25 Musselburgh
This looks a weak 0-105 handicap so preference goes to Sanosuke (best priced at 11/4) who comes here following a course and distance victory 18 days ago. The Nick Alexander trained five-year-old relished the 3 mile trip on soft ground when an easy 6 ½ length winner in November off a mark of 93.
3lb claimer Bruce Lynn rode him well that day as he got outpaced at one stage so it is a positive that he keeps the ride in this race. The handicapper has raised him 6lb up to a mark of 99 and he should prove hard to beat.
13:25 Musselburgh
The Donald McCain trained Maggie O (best priced at 3/1) is the only recent winner in this race and she should hold strong claims of following up 31 days later. The lightly raced five-year-old was returning from an 88 day break and a wind operation when she won by 1 ¼ lengths at Doncaster.
Maggie O was also fitted with a first-time tongue tie that day and won comfortably under Abbie McCain. The handicapper has only raised her 4lbs up to a mark of 90 and I expect her to make it 2/2 since the wind operation.
19:30 Wolverhampton
Star Of St Louis (best priced at 9/4) has a good record at Wolverhampton and he can hopefully record his 3rd course and distance victory. The six-year-old has form figures of 51123 since joining the Matt Crawley stable including two victories over this course and distance off marks of 46 and 50. He finished 2nd beaten only a length off a mark of 52 on his penultimate start before finishing 3rd beaten only a length at Lingfield off the same mark.
Star Of St Louis runs here off a mark of 52 once again and he should prove hard to beat back over this course and distance from a good draw in Stall 3.
