Leg 1 Selections: Hannah’s Return, Basholo

This first time over this shorter trip does pose a question mark for HANNAH’S RETURN, but she looked all about speed when winning from the front at Wolverhampton recently and should be able to adapt to the distance while still on a reasonable mark at present. BASHOLO has made the frame several times off higher marks and has place possibilities.

Leg 2 Selections: Wadacre Icarus, Liege

WADACRE ICARUS has shaped with plenty of promise in both starts to date and will take a significant drop in grade from his latest sixth at Kempton. He should go well with a handy draw in stall 4, while LIEGE is a newcomer to note. He is another with a nice draw in stall 1, and the booking of Rossa Ryan catches the eye. He could be set to run well.

Leg 3 Selections: Reverberation, Black Smoke

REVERBERATION emphatically ended a long losing run when scoring with plenty in hand at Chelmsford last week. Now that he's turned out quickly, with Rossa Ryan taking over in the saddle, he’s the one to beat. Of the remainder, BLACK SMOKE defied a 1Ib higher mark when successful at Lingfield in August and can be considered a leading contender on the pick of his form.

Leg 4 Selections: The Bunt, Daytona Beach

THE BUNT might be able to make a serious impact in the fourth race on the card. He did plenty wrong on his debut, where he was slow into stride and ran green in the early stages, but emerged with credit in defeat. He is interesting on his return after a good fourth when last seen, while DAYTONA BEACH showcased some good form in bumpers and could be a major player on his flat debut.

Leg 6 Selections: Gypsy Whisper, Distinction

GYPSY WHISPER has run with great credit the last two times, narrowly denied both times. He is still 10Ib below his last winning mark, albeit that win came on the turf, and he must be respected with a similar effort. I’ll also include DISTINCTION, which is down to a career-low mark and must be closing in on a first win in over two years. He must be thereabouts.
