Leg 1 Selections: Outrace, Precision Storm

OUTRACE has a really good record at this course, which reads 22232 from five starts and is only 1Ib above his last winning mark. From a really good slot in stall 1, he’s a serious player in the opener. PRECISION STORM is a three-time C&D winner and has made the frame multiple times here off higher marks as well. He has a solid chance.

Leg 2 Selections: Arabian Tribe, Sunny Street

ARABIAN TRIBE is a very well-bred newcomer for Charlie Appleby, given that he’s related to the top-class Barney Roy. He is a very appealing proposition on paper and could be difficult to topple. SUNNY STREET is the backup option, who has displayed promise in both starts to date and should be able to fill the frame.

Leg 3 Selections: Lil Wade, Revolucion

LIL WADE has run well in both starts over five furlongs here the last twice, including on his handicap debut last time, where he finished third. From an unchanged mark, an even bigger performance could be forthcoming. A recent C&D winner, REVOLUCION, is another to include, who could prove capable of defying a penalty from a handy draw in stall 4. He can confirm the latest form with My Boy Jack and beat him again.

Leg 4 Selections: Kangaroo, Billian

KANGAROO ran his best race since finishing third here on debut when filling the same spot at Chelmsford 12 days ago. He must go well if he can back up that performance in this similar contest, while BILLIAN has C&D winning form and is 1Ib below his last winning mark. He should be thereabouts if he can put his best foot forward.

Leg 5 Selections: Dark Side Prince, Kitaab

DARK SIDE PRINCE has two C&D wins to his name, with the latest of those wins coming off a 2Ib higher mark in a better race. He is remarkably consistent at this level and should be extremely competitive. He is a lot better off at the weights with Let’s Go Hugo in their rematch, who was only a neck in front of him last time. KITAAB ran quite well here last time and could be suited to the drop in distance.

Leg 6 Selections: Power Of Gold, Young Fire, Eagle Day

John Quinn’s POWER OF GOLD is only 2Ib higher than when he scored in June and could be set to run really well at a decent price with plenty more to come. YOUNG FIRE has C&D winning form and is a well-handicapped horse at present, while EAGLE DAY is sure to give it a good go in order to complete a C&D hat-trick of victories despite stepping up in class. A trio of picks for the finale.
