Leg 1 Selections: Valadon, Catboy

VALADON shaped very nicely when second on his hurdles debut over C&D last month and will start the race as the favourite. He should be hard to beat, though I wouldn’t rule out a better showing from CATBOY for Jack Tudor and Christian Williams. I much prefer him to the second favourite.

Leg 2 Selections: Arthalot, Maroochi

ARTHALOT finished well beaten here last time, but this isn’t a strong race, and a bigger effort could be on the cards. MAROOCHI made the frame when last spotted and also holds place claims in a wide open contest. This race is anybody’s for the taking, so hopefully one of these can get involved at the business end.

Leg 3 Selections; Endless Escape, Mayhem Mya

ENDLESS ESCAPE looked in need of her chase debut/return in a listed C&D mares' event last month and won four of her five starts over hurdles last season. She should prove a stronger proposition this time, while MAHYEM MYA, who was in front of the former last time, is another to consider.

Leg 4 Selections: Joker De Mai, Molly Ollys Wishes

JOKER DE MAI took a huge step forward from his stable debut fourth at Newbury to score easily at Lingfield last week and is the one to beat under a penalty. MOLLY OLLYS WISHES isn’t the force of old, but she is well treated nowadays and is a major player after returning to form when she finished second last time.

Leg 5 Selections: Mumbo Jumbo, Run To Milan

MUMBO JUMBO has yet to win under rules but ran well when he finished third behind ENJOY YOUR LIFE over C&D last month and should be able to bridge the gap on the winner here. However, the favourite looked good in winning last time and should have more to come for his in-form trainer.

Leg 6 Selections: Navajo Indy, Davidoc

NAVAJO INDY showed improvement with each start in bumpers, which culminated with a win at Newbury and could be difficult to beat on his hurdles debut. DAVIDOC could only finish fourth on his hurdles debut last month but should be more competitive this time with that run under his belt.
