Both Bobo Mac and CLASSIC MAESTRO (best priced at 2/1) come into this race following two runner-up efforts but preference goes to the latter who races from 6lbs “well in” at the weights. The Jennie Candlish trained five-year-old is seven years younger than his main market rival and is unexposed having only had three runs over hurdles. He finished 2nd at Hexham in a maiden hurdle in November before finishing a neck 2nd to North Parade at Newcastle eight days ago.
The pair pulled 22 lengths clear of the third that day so the handicapper has raised him 6lbs but he instead runs here off the same mark of 99. Sean Quinlan takes back over on board and he should prove hard to beat.

The Henry Daly trained ROCKINSTORM (best priced at 11/4) has won his previous two starts off a mark of 100 and he gets to run off the same mark once again today. The six-year-old won on his chasing debut in November before winning a conditional jockeys’ handicap chase off the same mark eight days ago.
The handicapper has raised Rockinastorm 6lbs for that 4 ¼ length success but he instead runs here once again off a mark of 100. He should hold strong claims of making it 3/3 over fences and should prove hard to beat with Alice Stevens claiming 5lbs.
