HAZY GLEN wasn't disgraced when finishing sixth in a Listed bumper at Cheltenham and the manner of that performance suggested a step up in trip would aid his cause once sent over timber. The four-year-old does face an interesting challenge with Lingfield runner-up New Order expected to serve it up to the selection following a promising start to life under Rules. Others to consider are Sea Grey and Ballyvango.

The vote goes to BALLYLINCH, who has improved since being switched to the larger obstacles. A winner at Sedgefield in October, he hit the woodwork there next time and would appear to hold solid claims off an unchanged mark. Veteran chaser Sigurd romped home in the corresponding event three years ago and there was encouragement to be drawn from his Wetherby reappearance. Elleon has been consistent in recent starts and is unlikely to be far away.

PLAYTOGETAWAY has not looked back since being switched to handicaps, winning at both Huntingdon and Worcester earlier this year, and Jonjo O'Neill's charge is fancied to defy a 7lb higher mark following a 208-day absence. God's Own Getaway does not look overburdened by an opening mark of 105 so it would come as no surprise were he to mount a serious challenge, while Hajey is also noted.
