It is hard to oppose the progressive INVERLOCHY, who seeks a hat-trick off just a 4lb higher mark than her C&D success last month. BYSTANDER was sent off odds-on for his debut for Simon & Ed Crisford in April and ran very green to finish stone last. The son of Dark Angel has since switched to the Karl Burke stable and was a 150,000gns purchase as a yearling, so it would be no surprise to see him leave his introduction behind and get his head in front today with that experience under his belt. Yasmina has been off the track for over a year after her second at Kempton behind a nice type in Slipofthepen and she could have a say on her return to action for the George Boughey yard. Of the remainder, August makes the most appeal with an official rating of 74.

Jahidin struck by the narrowest of margins over C&D earlier in the month and he could take a step forward from that effort to be bang there off only a 2lb higher mark. However, marginal preference is for AL FARABI, who shed his maiden tag at the second attempt before failing to justify short odds under a penalty at Southwell last time and he now makes his handicap bow. The son of Kingman could have plenty more to offer and can defy his opening mark of 82. Illusionist is in solid form and completes the shortlist.

FILLY ONE was a shock winner on her debut when she defied her odds of 40/1 to score by a short head over C&D last month and she should have learned a great deal from that experience. The daughter of Calyx could have plenty more to come and she is taken to defy her 6lb penalty. The main threat might be Dollarindex, who was beaten into sixth on her debut over track and trip earlier in the month and could get involved with normal improvement. Of the remainder, newcomer Ruth Langmore makes the most appeal and warrants a market check.

It can often pay to be drawn high over the sprint trips here and, with that in mind, a chance is taken on REPRISED. Karl Burke's filly showed promise as well as greenness at Southwell last time and a drop in class, along with a 2lb ease in the handicap, could see the daughter of Blue Point in a better light. Magic Fluke, who finished a good second over C&D 12 days ago, is likely to prove popular along with recent Lingfield scorer Professor Tickle.

AFTER JOHN, who was able to exploit a drop in the handicap when winning over course and distance last time, landed the corresponding event from this mark 12 months ago and would appear to hold every chance of repeating the dose. The Caltonian has been running well over 7f recently but he can deal with a drop in trip to play a leading role. Secret Road heads the remainder.
