Swift Hawk filled second place over 1m4f three times on the Flat and has to be of interest on his hurdling bow, while Orchestra and Right Now are others to consider.

CENTARA showed enough promise on his hurdling debut at Newbury at the beginning of the month to suggest that he can be successful in a race of this nature. Long Draw was second in an Irish point in March and should not be underestimated on his first start under Rules. French Flat winner Nila edges out Thunder N Lightnin to be the pick of the rest.

Ballinoulart has been knocking on the door of late and is likely to be in the mix once again, along with the recent Market Rasen second Hard Frost. That said, preference is for MILTIADES, who got off the mark over 2m4f at Ludlow a few weeks ago and 3lb rise for that success appears to be fair. The shortlist is completed by Safe Destination and Furkash.

QUEENS GAMBLE was imperious in her first two bumper appearances, and it has been a similar story since being switched to hurdles. The daughter of Getaway can continue her ascendency at this higher level and she gets the vote, though Harry Derham's mare would not want conditions to deteriorate. Casa No Mento, who sets the standard on official ratings, looks to be the main danger, while Larchmont Lass heads the remainder.

Game Winner will need to jump with more fluency than he did over fences here last time, but he remains open to further improvement and could be given an added boost by the application of cheekpieces for the first time. However, preference is for the Fergal O'Brien-trained HURRICANE HARVEY, who posted a solid fourth at a higher level on his latest outing and would appear to have an excellent chance now eased in class. King Of The Lake is also noted.

A taking winner on his chase debut at Hereford last month, PEDLEY WOOD is open to plenty more improvement as he looks to overcome a 4lb rise for that success. Wind surgery certainly had a positive effect on the six-year-old and he gets the vote ahead of Concrete King, who wasn't beaten far at Southwell last time out. Runner-up on two of his last three starts, the veteran Dindin can also have a say in proceedings.

INDIVIDUALISTE's only career win came over C&D in March 2022 and he showed some promise again when third over this track and trip earlier in the month. He has been helped by a 1lb drop in the ratings following that effort and may have enough to see off Nordic Tiger, who ran a career-best when third at Lingfield last time out and should be open to improvement now tackling further. Consistent Flat performer Fleurman cannot be ruled out either on his return to this sphere.
