I’m surprised ENGINEER is as big as 5/1 for this as the way he won at Wolverhampton on penultimate start was impressive and then he just looked to bump into one when second to Mukaafah over C&D last time. An opening mark of 80 is no given but he is open to stacks of improvement and I think he can make a winning handicap debut here. Bulldog Drummond showed improved form to win at Newcastle last month but he is up 5lb and off a career high mark now so I don’t think he is guaranteed to back that up and is short enough at 3/1. Cast No Shadow was beaten less than 3 lengths at Newcastle last month and that form is working out well so now handicapping I make him a bigger danger to the selection.
