The drop back to 7f saw GREATGADIAN back to something like his best at Newcastle last month and given he is unexposed over this trip it wouldn’t surprise me to see him improve again and get his head back in front here. He was finishing strongly last time and if ridden a little closer to the pace he should have enough speed to pick them up. He runs off the same mark and I can see this surface suiting him too. Intervention impressively notched up a four-timer and has won over C&D in the past. He was clear when second at Wolverhampton last time but my worry is he looked a tired horse on that occasion and might need a break now. I see Misty Grey as a greater threat if managing to get away on terms.
