Lurking towards the foot of the weights, SUPASUNRISE makes plenty of appeal for Nigel Twiston-Davies and Finn Lambert. With a line put through his penultimate effort (left rein snapped), he has been in fine form of late and everything looks in place for another bold bid. Malpas is entitled to improve for his comeback run at Carlisle and warrants respect stepping up in trip off a 3lb lower mark. Our Friend Mo, Royal Mer and Has Troke are other names to note.
Prediction : 1st Supasunrise 2nd Malpas 3rd Our Friend Mo

Olly Murphy looks to have a couple of solid chances here with first-time blinkered Swinging London and IDDERGEM. Although the former is rated 10lb superior, Lewis Stones' mount has posted solid win and placed efforts at this sort of level since returning and he looks a more solid option. Parikarma drops in class and has every chance if on a going day, while Vorashann comes out top on official figures but was disappointing in a similar event at Huntingdon last time.
Prediction : 1st Iddergem 2nd Parikarma 3rd Swinging London

JOHNNY MAC has won his last two starts, including when turning over an odds-on favourite over C&D last time, and a further 10lb hike in the ratings might not be enough to anchor him. Hunter Legend is just 3lb higher than when touched off at Ludlow in November and he is likely to be in the thick of the action again. Limetree Boy has few miles on the clock and is worth a market check at least, while Harel Du Marais cannot be ruled out either.
Prediction : 1st Johnny Mac 2nd Hunter Legend 3rd Limetree Boy

TOMMIE GUN showed sterling qualities to face down a challenge when he made a winning start over hurdles at Southwell last month and could be difficult to overhaul with a similarly determined effort here. A 6lb penalty makes life tougher for the selection, though, with the Gary Moore-trained Donald Llewellyn suggested as one who could capitalise if the weight becomes an issue on the likely testing ground. Wal Buck's is also considered after his respectable hurdles bow at Carlisle 24 days ago.
Prediction : 1st Tommie Gun 2nd Donald Llewellyn 3rd Wal Bucks

ARTEMIS KIMBO is hard to oppose after her facile success over course and distance last month and, given she was eased towards the finish that day, a 3lb higher mark hardly looks restrictive in her bid for a follow-up success. Inspiratrice is an obvious threat after she went close in a similar race at Exeter last time, while Galice Macalo and Terresita may have to settle for scrapping it out as the best of the rest.
Prediction : 1st Artemis Kimbo 2nd Inspiratrice 3rd Galice Macalo

INGENNIO was only narrowly beaten when second in a similarly modest handicap at Newcastle last month and, having now posted three respectable efforts on the bounce since being tried in cheekpieces, a change of fortune could be imminent for the Richard Hobson-trained six-year-old. Testing ground seems ideal for the selection and his proven liking for the forecast going earns him the nod over Embolden and Robber's Bridge, who appear to be the pick of the opposition.
Prediction : 1st Ingennio 2nd Embolden 3rd Robbers Bridge
