GYTO's Notebook Double Pays 10/1.
13:37 Sedgefield
The two last time out winners in the field look worth focusing on and I think HORACIO APPLE’S holds the edge. He was well backed on his first two starts over fences but somewhat disappointed before winning impressively at Bangor. He was given a much more patient ride than at Wetherby and came through strongly to win with plenty in hand. He has been handed a 10lb rise as a result but I still think he could be ahead of the handicapper given he remains unexposed and he looks worth siding with. Coniston Clouds is lightly raced for his age and made a perfect start winning on chase debut at Catterick so looks the biggest danger.
15:15 Dundalk
Beaten just a length and a half on debut over C&D last month NERANO should be hard to beat if improving for the experience. He just looked a bit clueless in the closing stages when asked to go and win the race and should be a lot more streetwise this time around. He clocked a decent speed figure in the process and with Joseph O’Brien in good form too he has plenty going for him. A big field but not too many dangers standing out as this does seem to lack any real strength in depth. The Bear Trap is pretty exposed now but did go down just a nose last time so could run well again. I Bid You Ajou is another to note but he needs to improve again.
