The drop back to a mile was no issue for the progressive GOLDSMITH at Southwell as he ran out a convincing winner. He has clocked decent speed figures on all of his last three starts and turned out quickly under a penalty I think he can complete the hat-trick. His form figures at this track read 2-10-113322 so he goes particularly well here too. The favourite Inverlochy should go off the front so it will give him a good target to run down. The latter has also been in good form winning two of her last three and she only went down half a length last time and that form with Enola Grey looks solid so I expect them to fight it out. Landlordtothestars has won two of his last three as well and is another one to note in a good race for the level.

Former point-to-point winner SPRINGT DE LA MARE looks a promising hurdles recruit and he looks to have found a good opportunity to make a winning start in this sphere. Connections won this last year with Letsbeclearaboutit and they look to have another good one on their hands here. He stayed on strongly to win his point to point so will keep galloping when the others have cried enough. Slanagaibhgoleir was given an easy time of it when beaten into fifth at Navan on reappearance last month and looks the danger if building on that. Chosen Thyme is more exposed but ran well to finish second at Clonmel and he will likely be in there pitching for a long way again in this.
