The drop back to a mile really did the trick for MARCELLO SI over C&D last time and up just 3lb for that he should have a decent chance of following that up. He had run some good races in defeat and was overdue that win so now he has his head in front I expect him to kick on. There isn’t a huge amount of pace on so it will be interesting to see if they go forward as making all with him does seem the best option over this trip as he sees it out well. Rubellite won nicely on penultimate start but was turned over off this mark last time. She could still have more to come though so looks the obvious danger. Barossa is yet to win a race but she ran well when last seen and if fit and ready to go could get competitive at least.

With just a handful of starts to his name I doubt we’ve seen the best of TARSUS yet and with a few of these struggling for form he should have a great chance to win again. He steps up to 6f for the first time but the way he finished last time suggests he should improve again for it. Mint Man was behind the selection last time and has plenty of ground to make up but it wouldn’t be a surprise if he ran better than he did the last day as his second prior to that was a pretty useful effort. Manhattan Dreamer is open to improvement after going down just a couple of lengths on debut but she lacks experience and would need to come forward quite a bit. The rest are likely up against it.
