Plenty of unexposed types here who are open to improvement so I expect it to be a decent race but ROMAN EMPEROR seems overpriced to me at around 6/1 at the time of writing. He ran an eye-catching race on sole start last season when third behind Son and Soldier’s Gold and again improved to go down just a length on return at Chelmsford. Pitched into the right race at Southwell he was an easy winner under Callum Shepherd and with more to come again now handicapping he could surprise a few here. Both the yard and jockey are in good form which is another plus. Fire Demon is the flashy one being by Dark Angel in the Juddmonte colours with Ryan Moore up but I expect him to be a bit overbet. Bulldog Drummond is actually the one I fear most as he has won 2 of his last 3.
