13:15 Lingfield
I loved the way MATATA won on chase debut at Ffos Las and despite getting beat at Cheltenham last time he ran right up to form. The winner Libberty Hunter looks a progressive chaser and I think that is form that will work out to be quite strong in time. He is the obvious pace angle in this and if he gets into a decent rhythm again he could prove hard to reel in this time. Master Chewy ran out a convincing winner at Kempton last month but I’m still not completely sold with him and if he makes mistakes held up off the pace it could prove hard to land a blow. It wouldn’t surprise me if Jpr One bounced back and emerged as the main danger.
19:45 Chelmsford
That was a good run from THE LIEGEMAN in defeat at Wolverhampton last month. He had gone up 7lb for his Lingfield win and went down less than a length having failed to get to the winner Mart who had it all go his own way up top. That horse has been beaten since but he had won 3 of his last 4 so the form definitely stacks up. Cheekpieces go on now and if he improves again racing off the same mark I think he can get back in the winners enclosure. Hot Front didn’t run badly when fourth behind Billy Webster at Wolverhampton when last seen and that form has been franked since so she is also in with a squeak if improving again.
