It was good to see NURSE SUSAN back to something like her best winning at Cheltenham last month. I know there were a couple of fallers including the favourite but she impressed with how she came there going strongly at the last and just had to be ridden out to prevail. That was her second start back from a long layoff so she is still entitled to improve again physically and while this is tougher a 4lb rise seems perfectly manageable. I’m expecting her to be well backed in the market and she looks the one to be on. Gowel Road was a good fourth behind Slate Lane at Haydock and wasn’t disgraced in the Long Walk Hurdle at Ascot so will be the main danger to the selection.
