MICKS JET may have disappointed when favourite for her hurdles debut at Wetherby on Boxing Day, but she should come on for that effort and the Cheltenham bumper winner is taken to land this contest. Placed on four of her last five starts in Ireland, Roccos Inspiration is an intriguing recruit to the Olly Murphy stable and must be a key player. Another mare making her first start for new connections, Most Agreeable, cannot be ruled out either.

The veteran CARO DES FLOS has been proving his enthusiasm remains as bright as ever and having accounted for a subsequent winner at Market Rasen, there could be even more to come from Julian Smith's charge off an 8lb higher mark. Sir Rock bounced back to winning ways with a determined success on his fencing bow at Plumpton and he is likely to be thereabouts, along with unexposed chasing debutant Saint Jaguen.

Now that the penny has finally dropped for LADY BERLAIS after a comfortable success over C&D last month, Dan Skelton's six-year-old looks well capable of following up for her in-form connections, despite a 7lb rise. A narrow winner at Taunton recently, Sawpit Sienna can give her the most to think about, although Silver Vision must not be taken lightly, turning out again quickly having scored easily at Kelso last weekend.

FOR GINA successfully justified favouritism when bolting up over C&D in November and she now has a 5lb higher rating to contend with. The Lucy Wadham-trained mare seems to have been let off quite lightly with that rise and can record a double. The main threat might be Kiss My Face, who took third at Musselburgh and it would be no surprise to see him have a say off a 1lb lower mark. Of the remainder, Rostello appeals most on his return to the smaller obstacles.

They didn't see which way MASKED DANCE went at Doncaster as she coasted home by 25 lengths, for which she has been given an 11lb hike. The six-year-old has returned in a different light since a wind operation and she could continue on her upward curve. Spring Note made every yard of the running to score in comprehensive fashion at Newbury and is likely to be thereabouts off a 13lb higher rating. Bonttay is another to watch out for.

Francky Du Berlais must enter calculations after some solid efforts in defeat in cross country events at Cheltenham. However, a return to 3m around this sharper course may leave the 11-year-old vulnerable, with CHAMBARD making more appeal. Venetia Williams' Cheltenham Festival and Becher Chase winner was let down by his jumping in the Welsh Grand National, but compensation could await in these calmer waters. Celebre D'Allen also requires a second look.

DISCO DAVIS is potentially a useful recruit having landed a point-to-point at Dunsmore in ready fashion in November. The five-year-old has since joined Dan Skelton and he ticks plenty of the right boxes on his Rules debut. Newcomer Nabonidus boasts plenty of speed in his pedigree and any market support would be interesting, with Saxon Star also warranting consideration given her stable is in red-hot form.
