After impressing at Newbury Gentleman’s Relish was bitterly disappointing at Kempton last month and I can’t bring myself to back him again. I much prefer expensive purchase MARVELLOUS MICK who looked potentially useful winning a bumper at the first time of asking at this track. Given plenty of time he was obviously a bit flat when only midfield at Ascot but that was a Listed contest.
Sent up in trip now hurdling he is open to stacks of improvement and could make a winning start. Both Paul Nicholls and Harry Cobden are in great form and he must be one of the likely winners. Broughshane wasn’t disgraced to finish third here last month and if improving again could emerge as the danger.

The likeable SASSY REDHEAD was back to winning ways over C&D last month and up just 4lb I expect her to follow up against these. She was well backed last time and looks to be subject to a gamble again here. She won off a mark of 62 just last year so she still looks well treated off a mark of just 55. Hopefully there is a decent pace on again as she will be the one finishing best.
Sisters In The Sky missed narrowly at Wolverhampton last month but has been beaten twice since and his losing run is mounting up. Evasive Power is having just his third start for this yard and isn’t ruled out of it either off his current mark as he went down less than 3 lengths at Kempton last week.
