Hard to look past YES DAY back down in calmer waters. He showed a good attitude to prevail at Uttoxeter on debut over hurdles and then wasn’t disgraced behind a couple of nice types at Warwick. He likely improved again in defeat at Cheltenham finishing fifth behind Shanagh Bob. Back in trip and against much lesser horses here he should regain the winning groove.

Both of his market rivals Doc McCoy and Lavida Adiva want to get on the lead so they could end up taking each other on which would turn out to be a perfect scenario. Of that pair I probably fear Lavida Adiva most as she bumped into The Kalooki Kid at Musselburgh which is good form and then won easily at Catterick. Of the rest One More Stroke went down just half a length in a bumper last month and if improving now sent over hurdles could also run a nice enough race.
