I’m looking forward to seeing WHITE RHINO out again. He has won 5 of his last 7 starts and has been seriously progressive since switched to handicap company. He started out off a mark of just 74 and has already bee one of the success stories of the season having won off 123 at Cheltenham last month. He is up anther 6lb but is clearly thriving and this extra furlong or so could bring about further improvement which would see him in the winners enclosure once again.

Henry Brooke has won on him twice before and is in the saddle again and he has plenty going for him despite a further rise in the weights. My Bobby Dazzler ran a cracker denied just a neck last time and is the danger.

I backed TUNE IN A BOX the other day but he was withdrawn. This looks competitive but I still want to side with him again. He won impressively at Newcastle when last seen back in November and remains completely unexposed as a stayer. A 9lb rise is fully warranted and I’m expecting him to improve again so he looks the most likely winner. My Strong Man was a long way behind the selection on penultimate start but ran a much improved race to finish second to Abbeyhill at Catterick last time so might be the one to chase him home. Clovis Boy was beaten when falling at Ayr but if bouncing back quickly wouldn’t be entirely ruled out of this and is probably worth a market check.
