This looks a weak 0-65 handicap so it looks a good opportunity for WARMING (best priced at 13/8) to get off the mark at the sixth attempt. The George Boughey trained filly didn’t show much over 7f and a mile on her first three starts but has shown improved form since switched to handicaps over 6f in cheekpieces. She finished 3rd at Newcastle off an opening mark of 65 before finishing 2nd at Southwell off the same mark by 1 ¼ lengths.

The handicapper has raised Warming 1lb up to a mark of 66 for her latest effort but she instead runs here off her previous mark meaning she is 1lb “well in” at the weights. This drop to 5f should suit and she is expected to get off the mark with Danny Tudhope taking over on board for the first time.

He’s An Angel will no doubt prove popular with punters under a 5lb penalty but MAN ON A MISSION (best priced at 3/1) was a huge eyecatcher last time and can gain a much deserved success in this race. The five-year-old is a four time course winner at Lingfield including two victories in January last year off marks of 58 and 61.

Man On A Mission was hampered leaving the stalls earlier this month but stayed on strongly in first time blinkers to finish 3rd by a length off a mark of 58. The handicapper has raised him 1lb up to a mark of 59 which is fair and crucially Luke Morris is now back on board who has ridden him to all five of his career successes.

This looks a competitive 0-105 handicap chase but preference goes to ONESTEPATATIME (best priced at 11/2) who won this race last year. The John Wainwright trained nine-year-old is a three-time course and distance winner off marks of 84, 89 and 96 including this race last year. She showed a good attitude to win here by ½ length in November before slightly disappointing on her next two starts.

Onestepatatime looks one of the more consistent horses in the race and should run well with four places available off a mark of 98.
