The drop back in trip could easily see GENERAL MEDRANO back in the winners enclosure. He took really well to fences winning his first two starts in this sphere and then probably improved again in defeat when chasing home Brave Kingdom at Plumpton. He just looked a bit stretched by the trip when only fifth at Kempton but I still thought there was a fair bit of promise in that run. Back down to 2 miles here will be ideal and I still think he is a horse with a fair bit of potential off this mark. He is priced appropriately and looks worth chancing. Mount Tempest is on a hat-trick but a further 7lb rise certainly applied more pressure. Kotmask also catches the eye back down in trip and should run a good race.
