I can see the progressive GINNY’S DESTINY giving weight and a beating to his rivals here. He left his chase debut a long way behind bolting up over C&D back in November and then quickly took his form up a few notches to beat Grey Dawning last month. Obviously that rival made a bad mistake when coming to win the race but he still ran on gamely to win and the form has been franked since with the runner-up winning impressively next time. He is open to further improvement himself and a further 6lb rise shouldn’t be enough to anchor him. Blow Your Wad stayed on strongly to win at Kempton last time and is also on an upward trajectory so looks the most obvious danger.

I thought WELCOM TO CARTRIES was a bit unlucky to lose at Ascot on hurdles debut so he could arguably be coming here unbeaten. He improved again to win impressively up in trip last time and now up to 3 miles we should see an even better performance. He remains an exciting prospect and I’m keen to keep him on side today and going forward. Destroytheevidence is likeable and beat all bar the promising Shanagh Bob at Cheltenham last month which is strong form so he should give the selection most to think about. Range impressed winning at Chepstow and while this is a fair bit tougher he is open to improvement as well and it wouldn’t surprise me to see him run well.
