There are some nice types lining up for this but I was impressed with CASTELFORT at Sandown last month and with further improvement a near certainty I’m expecting him to follow up. He lacked fluency over his hurdles so hopefully if he is slicker here we will see an even better performance. He stayed on strongly so this testing ground is unlikely to faze him where is could prove a negative for some of the others in here. Hill Spirit won easily at Ludlow at the start of the month but I’m not sure he beat a great deal and this is tougher. Push To Pass bumped into Valadon at Exeter and that horse has won since so he is another one I’m not underestimating.

The money came for BRAVE DISPLAY over track and trip last time and he only just failed to get up. Racing off the same mark if they go hard enough up front he should be able to pick them up as he is clearly well handicapped off a mark of just 50. I know he is a 10yo now but if in the same form he must go close as this lacks strength in depth. Trulie Good is second in the betting but she has a habit of finding one too good and she remains a maiden. She had every chance last time but just didn’t seem to want to go through with it. Channel Packet is capable of running well but he faded off this mark at Wolverhampton so does have a point to prove at present.
