With Joe Tizzard firing in the winners at the moment THE CHANGING MAN could be worth chancing here. This horse remains lightly raced especially over fences and this is the easiest race he would have run in so far this season. He was poor at Warwick last time but has been dropped 4lb as a result and in much calmer waters I think we’ll see him bounce back. He is still a horse with considerable potential in this sphere given what he achieved over hurdles and I make him the one to beat. That second to Stay Away Fay at the start of the season obviously looks strong form so he should be off a good mark here. Passing Well is a horse I like too and he will give him the most to think about.

Hard to look past KING’S VANITY for this and I’m confident this son of Kingman can justify the cramped odds. He is obviously well bred and built on that promising debut run to win impressively at Lingfield last time. The runner-up is a filly with some decent form and he stayed on well to put her in her place. If he handles the quick turnaround then he should be too classy for this field. Alexandretta opposes again and I see no reason why she won’t run her race so I think she’ll finish second again. Dandy Man colt Thats Dandy Harry made a winning start at Wolverhampton last month and is another one to note if improving but that form doesn’t look up to much especially in comparison to the fav.
