Cheltenham Festival 2024

Lossiemouth and Sir Gino are the two most popular Cheltenham Festival ante-post bets on oddschecker following wins at Trials Day last Saturday.

Willie Mullins’ five-year-old Lossiemouth put in a dominant nine and a ½ length win over Love Envoi in the Grade 2 Unibet Hurdle.

Following that victory, Lossiemouth’s odds to win the Mares’ Hurdle at Cheltenham were cut from 2/1 to 4/6 (best price 4/5 on Betfair).

Since last Friday, Lossiemouth has been the most backed Cheltenham Festival bet on oddschecker, securing 11.1% of all bets.

Also popular with oddschecker ante-post punters is Sir Gino, who impressively defeated Burdett Road in the Grade 2 Triumph Trial.

Sir Gino is now the favourite for the Triumph Hurdle in March at odds of 11/8 (6/4 best on Ladbrokes), having been 5/1 heading into last weekend.

Nicky Henderson’s bay gelding is number two on our list of most popular bets over the past five days, taking 7.4% of total ante-post bets.
