The step up to three miles for the first time could easily see ZWICKY improve enough to win this. He won at Sedgefield and Carlisle earlier in the season and has by no means been disgraced in defeat since. He shaped as though he’d appreciate a bit further last time so this looks a good move. Harry Cobden is a notable jockey booking and connections are clearly expecting a big run. Globe Player is still unexposed having only had 4 starts under Rules but he’ll need to leave that last run behind to get seriously competitive here. Myfanwy’s Magic ran a cracker at Warwick on penultimate start and didn’t run badly last time so is another one to note in a race lacking strength in depth.

I know this is a lowly level but MAMALOUKA impressed getting her head in front last time and if she improves again she should be capable of defying a further 2lb rise. That was her second start following a wind op and she has the scope to keep progressing through the handicap. In terms of a danger Likleman was beaten less than a length over track and trip last time and could be a threat if building on that but he is more exposed than the selection. Catena hasn’t been shaping badly but this Cable Bay filly needs to show more before she can be a backable proposition. The rest all seem to be up against it in a weak race on paper.
