He moved through the race like a good horse and just lacked fluency when he needed a good jump at the last before being held by the winner. The fifth Bold Endeavour has run a couple of decent races in defeat since and even the seventh Santos Blue and eighth Howlingmadmurdock have been in the winners enclosure following that race. He remains unexposed over this trip and off just a 3lb higher mark looks sure to run another big race. Canal End is feared with improvement to come and Nine Graces is another one I expect to get competitive.
