With the benefit of that outing, it would be no surprise to see Bhupat Seemar's colt reverse that form and get off the mark. Tapit'staleofverve is a noteworthy newcomer for powerful connections, while Destructive could go well if handling the dirt.

CINDERELLA'S DREAM won both of her starts in the UK as a juvenile and the daughter of Shamardal looks to have a bright future ahead of her. The fact that William Buick has picked the selection over Beautiful Love, who was fourth at Listed level at Newmarket when last seen, suggests that she could be able to make a big impact at this level. The aforementioned Beautiful Love is likely to be the main threat, although Geologist is a useful performer and was not disgraced on her UAE debut over C&D a month ago.

Walbank bounced back to form when winning on his UAE debut over C&D last month and merits the utmost respect on the back of that effort. That said, marginal preference is for MISCHIEF MAGIC, who stayed on into fourth in the Ertijaal Dubai Dash over 5f last time. That effort suggests that he should relish this step back up in trip and could prove to be the class act in this field. Batwan was behind Walbank last month but the draw was a valid excuse for that defeat, although he does not appear to be ideally berthed once again. Yonafis is another with valid form claims, while Ladies Church and Demain also merit consideration.

NEW LONDON may have not won in three starts last year, but he ran well enough on all of those occasions. On his most recent outing, the son of Dubawi was only beaten a head in a Listed race over 1m4f at Newmarket and a subsequent gelding operation should only help his chances here. Trevaunance is an obvious threat having hit the crossbar in Group 1 company over 1m4f when last seen in Germany in September. Warren Point has some questions to answer but is more than capable of going well, while Solid Stone is the pick of the remainder.

Falsehood has to be of interest on his return to action having won on his most recent outing a year ago, while Triple Venture is a very consistent performer on dirt and is likely to play a big role once again. However, marginal preference is for NAXOS, who showed plenty of promise on his dirt debut in a much stronger race than this over 1m2f last month. The son of Saxon Warrior failed to see out the trip on this attritional surface but, back over a more suitable distance, he could play a leading role from a good draw.

The one to beat is clearly LEGEND OF TIME, who readily accounted for most of these rivals when winning the trial for this race a month ago. The way he finished that contest suggests that this extra furlong may bring about further improvement and it will take a big effort to deny him. Shamrock Glitter did not get a clear run at a crucial stage when second in the trial but it is still hard to see him reversing that form. Musical Act, a stablemate of the selection, has won his last two starts in the UK and is another to consider.

A case can be made for most of these but the vote goes to FIRST SIGHT, who has been gelded since winning over this trip on his most recent outing at Yarmouth in September. Charlie Appleby's representative will need to improve to defy his current mark, but this is only his sixth start and progress is likely to be forthcoming. Franz Kafka just held off Laser Guided (second) and Return To Dubai (fourth) when winning here recently but he's not certain to confirm that form, as he was race-fit going into that contest. Koy Koy took a step forward on his second UAE start and should not be underestimated, while King Of Time and Made In Dubai are also noted.
