There was lots to like about the way SPRINGWELL BAY ran on strongly to win at Cheltenham on penultimate start. I know he could only finish fourth behind Butch last time but that is form I rate highly and I just think he made a few too many errors to land a telling blow. If he jumps slicker here we will see a much more polished performance and he is still a horse with considerable potential off this mark. I know his trainer thinks a lot of him and there should be plenty more to come yet. Absolute Notions is understandably favourite after winning impressively at Fairyhouse and looks the most obvious danger to the selection but that is reflected in his odds being favourite at the time of writing. Almuhit is interesting but does need to bounce back. Peking Rose is another one to note with confidence high after that narrow Doncaster success.
