GYTO's Wednesday Notebook Double pays 10/1.
15:40 Sedgefield
With 2 wins from his last 3 BEBSIDE BANTER looks a horse on a real roll at present. I know he pulled up at Hexham on penultimate start but he was given a tentative ride once headed and in tough conditions it was a good idea by Danny McMenamin to save him for another day. Back at this venue he quickly bounced back winning with something to spare last time. He jumped well and came clear unchallenged. He is up another 4lb but he is fairly unexposed so I think he can improve again. Big Bee Hive ran well when last seen over hurdles and if improving now sent chasing could emerge as the main danger.
15:50 Ludlow
I’m looking forward to seeing FORCE DE FRAP out again at Ludlow on Wednesday. This horse loved the switch to chasing winning by 15 lengths at Bangor when last seen in December. He travelled strongly throughout and then always looked to be going best before easing clear. He is open to improvement off the back of that initial effort and even up 10lb could be a few steps ahead of the handicapper. Famoso impressed getting back to winning ways at Hereford last month and will be the danger but a 9lb rise seems a little harsh. Abingworth also comes here off the back of a win and up 5lb is another one that should get competitive.
