14:15 Ayr

Ardera Cross beat FIA FUINIDH (best priced at 11/2) over this course and distance in January but the Martin Todhunter trained seven-year-old is expected to reverse form with the veteran with a 2lb swing in the weights. The gelding is unexposed over fences having only his fourth chase start and he has had a wind operation since his latest effort.

Impressive Haydock winner Netywell could prove the biggest danger but a 7lb rise for winning a four runner race seems harsh and Fia Fuinidh is expected to run well with most bookmakers still offering three places on this race.

15:00 Lingfield

The Gary Moore trained MOVETHECHAINS (best priced at 11/4) made it five wins from six starts at Lingfield last time and he still remains well handicapped off his current mark. The ten-year-old won by 14 lengths off a mark of 117 in February 2022 before finishing 2nd in this race last year off a mark of 127. He won in impressive style in blinkers last time by seven lengths over this course and distance off a mark of 115 and the handicapper has given him a 9lb rise which is fair.

That means Movethechains is still 3lbs lower than when 2nd in this race last year and should prove hard to beat with the excellent Caoilin Quinn taking off a valuable 3lbs once again.

15:55 Ayr

Both Lady In The Park and Cream Of The West arrive into this race having won last time out but preference instead goes to TEEDCOMPONENTSTRIG (best priced at 9/2) who is fitted with first time blinkers. The Gillian Boanas trained nine-year-old can be excused his reappearance run from 697 days off the track before finishing a neck 2nd off a mark of 105 at Hexham on heavy ground. The handicapper raised the gelding 3lbs for that effort and he then chased home Curley Finger at Newcastle who beat him by 1 ¼ lengths.

That form has been boosted with Curley Finger following up at Musselburgh from 2lbs out of the handicap and that rival is now rated 9lbs higher. Teescomponentstrig runs here only 2lbs higher and if his jumping improves for the application of blinkers then he should prove extremely hard to beat back over 3 miles.
