I had previously thought Bowenspark was a pretty useful horse so for RISK DE PLUIE to beat him so convincingly at Fontwell last month was impressive. He made all the running and never really looked like getting caught. He is obviously open to improvement off the back of that given it was his first start over hurdles and in a small field he may well be able to dictate again. If he gets into that sort of rhythm out in front they might not see which way he goes back down to 2 miles. Victoria Milano looked good winning at Ludlow and has since backed that up with a good run in second at Warwick so looks the danger. All Authorized still has potential but he has a point to prove after pulling up at this track last month.

That victory from HOW IMPRESSIVE at Lingfield last time never looked in doubt and if he can repeat that dropping back to 6f here then he looks set to follow up. I think the key to him is getting him on or near the speed so he is interested as he always seemed to be going well within himself last time. Prior to that he blew out at Wolverhampton so he isn’t always the most consistent but if he pings the lids he should have a great chance.

He carries a penalty but on his best form strictly on the clock he would take a lot of beating. Brandon Wilkie claims a handy 5lb and he seems to have plenty going for him. Maharajas Express was cruely denied just a short head at Wolverhampton last time so looks the one most likely to give him something to think about.
