Despite racing keenly IP UP came through strongly to win by a wide margin at Newcastle last month. He has gone up 6lb for that but he remains lightly raced on these shores and may yet take another step forward. I thought he’d be a shorter price than he is so he could be decent value against the market principals. Hopefully he gets a lead off Jungle Jack and Cracking Rhapsody as that would be an ideal scenario for Craig Nichol to have him tucked in off the pace so he is in the box seat to strike. Carnfunnock has been fairly highly tried the last twice and is down to an eye-catching mark again so looks the danger. Ginger Mail and Ilanz both won last time out and must also come into it.
