WESTERNINTHEPARK got off the mark over hurdles at Plumpton a couple of weeks ago and that form gives him a big chance in a race of this nature, despite having to carry a 7lb penalty. West Warhorse failed to fire last time but is a player based on his previous victory over C&D, while Patriotik should not be underestimated on his Rules debut.

IMAC WOOD has put together quite the record over fences and he sets the standard on the back of another comfortable success at Hereford last month. A 7lb rise and softer ground will make life tougher, but he should have too much for Tupelo Mississippi, who bounced back to form with a determined success at Kelso last time out. A winner over C&D all of 458 days ago, Conceroe is another to consider on his return to action.

HERMES LE GRIS has been a revelations since joining the Robbie Llewellyn stable and he could be arriving on a hat-trick but for an untimely fall two out when leading at Southwell on his penultimate start. The seven-year-old has since gone in at Huntingdon and he gets the vote ahead of For Gina, who was an easy winner over C&D last November, and the improving Mistymal.

The vote goes to SECRET INVESTOR, who has not been seen since landing the Horse and Hound Cup at Stratford in June of last year. Paul Nicholls' 12-year-old has a creditable record when fresh and his record under Natalie Parker (3-4) is another positive. Bennys King was no match for an impressive winner at Wetherby 13 days ago, but a similar level of performance would bring the former C&D winner firmly into the reckoning. Spyglass Hill heads the remainder.

Fourth in the typically warm Goffs Defender Bumper at the Punchestown Festival last April, FARLAND found only one too strong next time, when filling the runner-up spot at Aintree on Boxing Day. With the prospect of more to come, this looks to be a golden opportunity for the son of Getaway. Lumi Plugin shaped with promise on his debut and he looks the most likely threat, while Wootton Bassett gelding Wiltshire Wonder merits closer inspection in the betting ahead of his first start.
