Things didn’t work out for SAGEBURG COUNTY at Doncaster when last seen but such was the promise of that win over C&D prior to that he is still a horse I want to be interested in. He is obviously hugely unexposed over fences and given time since that blip last time it would be no surprise to see him back on the up here. He goes well at this track and looks to have found a decent opportunity to put things right with plenty of his rivals having something or other to prove themselves too. With Jonjo O’Neill in good form Imperial Bede is probably the main danger now sent chasing but he lacks experience and that could prove the difference.

When BUACHAILLBOCHT was joined inside the final furlong over C&D last month I thought he was beat but he showed a really good attitude to get the better of the argument. He had travelled so well into the race so it was good to see him dig deep and fend off No Fussing. The latter has since gone down just a short head so the form definitely has substance too. He has only had 3 starts in handicaps and has won 2 of them so with more to come could easily follow up here. It will be interesting to see what the market makes of him. Noble Talent won impressively at Limerick last month and looks the obvious danger despite shouldering an 8lb rise.
