Things finally clicked for SHIGHNESS over fences at Catterick last time where she ran out a 4 length winner under Brian Hughes. That came after a good second to Val Dancer and that form has been franked so despite being 4lb higher here she has lots going for her again. She has only actually had 4 starts over fences so there should be a fair bit more improvement yet. Houston Texas obviously isn’t getting any younger but he won well here on reappearance back in November. He was pulled up at Wetherby but this is easier and if bouncing back at a track he clearly loves he could be the danger. Jet Legs is in good form and is another one expected to get competitive at least.

I have been looking more at handicap debutants lately and I have been running a system and TUNEFUL has been highlighted here for George Boughey. This filly by Blue Point is yet to show a great deal in 3 starts but an opening mark of just 63 up in trip now handicapping should prove lenient. It is obviously a bit of a guessing game but the stats show this yard to be profitable and this seems a winnable race. Dream Selection sets the standard having been denied just a nose on handicap debut so looks the obvious danger. Carabella was also in that race back in fifth and is another one who could get competitive but likely needs more to reverse form with Dream Selection.
