I’m surprised there is so much in the betting between Ooh Betty and PARTY VIBES as I actually favour the latter. She was an eye-catcher on hurdles debut bumping into Jackpot D’athou and likely improved again finding just Little Miss Dante too strong at Uttoxeter. She opened her account convincingly at Wincanton last time and freshened up and with further progress to come I fancy her to follow up. Alice Stevens claims a handy 5lb off her back too and everything points towards another big run. Ooh Betty is on a hat-trick after being handed the race in the stewards room at Lingfield last month. She is obviously greatly respected but I wouldn’t have her as short as she is against some promising types.

I thought INCA DE LAFAYETTE would be clear fav for this after beating Vicki Vale last time. He has won 2 from 3 this season showing the benefit of a wind op over the summer. I thought he impressed with how he hit the line here last month and a 4lb rise looks perfectly fair. He is back in trip but that won’t bother him and he is Cobden’s pick of the Nicholls trio. Vicki Vale is 2lb better off but I can’t see her reversing that form. She should get competitive as she has been very consistent but I’d fancy the selection to come out on top if they eye-ball each other again late on. Into The Park won easily at Newbury and now handicapping might emerge as a greater threat than the latter.
