Things have really clicked of late for SNOWY EVENING and I’m confident he can follow up here despite a 6lb rise. He has won 2 of his last 3 now and was a convincing winner again over this C&D last month. He is 2-2 at this track so clearly goes really well at this venue and I still think he has potential to rate a fair bit higher. Toby Wynne has been booked for the ride and takes a handy 3lb off his back and he looks to have plenty going for him again. Fete Champetre remains lightly raced for his age and was off the mark over fences at Musselburgh when last seen so if building on that up 5lb could emerge as the biggest danger.

That was a career best from GUILLAUME at Catterick when last seen and up just 5lb and with the promise of more to come in this sphere he is taken to follow up. He just had to be kept up to his work to come 9 lengths clear so it was an impressive performance. He has only actually had 4 starts over fences so there is a strong likelihood of further improvement to come. I think connections have found the right race for him to follow up in and with Theo Gillard getting the leg up he should prove hard to beat. Famoso was back in the winners enclosure at Hereford and wasn’t disgraced last time so looks to be the obvious threat to the selection.
