Olly Murphy holds a strong hand with both Here Comes McCoy and Lord Of Kerak but preference instead goes to NO TACKLE (best priced at 5/2) who won over this course and distance last time. The seven-year-old was pulled up on his stable debut for Robbie Llewellyn at Taunton on good ground but stayed on well on soft ground to win over this course and distance last time off a mark of 104.

No Tackle won by 3 ¼ lengths that day and a 6lb rise seems very fair on ground which we know that he handles. He receives nearly a stone from the Here Comes McCoy which will be a huge benefit on this testing ground and I expect him to prove hard to beat.

Dr Kananga is interesting in first time blinkers but preference goes to MISTER BELLS (best priced at 11/4) who was an impressive winner of a veterans’ chase over this course and distance last time. The Micky Hammond trained ten-year-old was leading by twelve lengths over the last fence before Emma Smith-Chaston eased him down to win by 4 ½ lengths at the finish from Didero Vallis.

That race was a 0-120 Class 4 handicap chase and Mister Bells runs in the same company albeit against younger rivals this time. A 7lb rise is fair for his victory last time and he should run well in receipt of nearly a stone from Twoshotoftequila and Dr Kananga.

Mister Bells - 1pt @ 11/4

The Rod Millman trained DAVID’S DIVA (best priced at 13/8) completed her hat-trick of handicap wins from a wide draw last time at Wolverhampton and she should hold strong claims back up in trip to a mile off only a 2lb higher mark. The four-year-old won by 1 ¼ lengths at Southwell over a mile off a mark of 60 in December before following up at Kempton over the same trip off a 5lb higher mark.

David Diva’s stayed on well to lead in the final strides at Wolverhampton last time off a mark of 68 and a 2lb rise seems lenient. That performance came from Stall 11 and she was trapped wide on the bend so this step back up in trip to a mile will suit and she should prove hard to beat.
