That Ffos Las win from WILLSBURG was franked yesterday with the runner-up Tedley winning gamely at Wincanton. The front pair pulled miles clear too so I have no doubt he is a very nice prospect. That was just his third start over hurdles so there should be plenty more improvement to come and I think he can follow up with Gav Sheehan in the saddle again. Magical King wasn’t disgraced when fifth in a good race at Sandown at the start of the month. He is the obvious danger but he is more exposed and looks short enough in the betting. Tommy Time has potential following a wind op and is another one to note in a decent race.

Venetia Williams had a nice winner in Montgomery yesterday so I think the yard might be coming back into form now. SUPERVISOR catches the eye here despite being a 10yo. He is lightly raced and was just too free when second to Landen Calling at Bangor when last seen back in May. Given plenty of time since his fitness is taken on trust but he is still open to improvement over fences and may well make a winning return here. Ned Fox claims a handy 5lb off his back and he should relish the testing ground. I don’t think this race has much strength in depth so expect the price to get backed. Come On Du Berlais makes her chase debut and could even emerge as the main danger.
