After a couple of poor displays including when well backed at Catterick THUNDERCLAP was right back to his best winning impressively at Kempton last month. He travelled supremely well and once he hit the front it was race over with the field well strung out in behind. He has been put up 6lb but the drop back slightly in trip will suit and this looks a decent opportunity to follow up and strike again while the iron is hot. I thought he’d be favourite so the 4/1 makes plenty of appeal. Soldierofthestorm landed a nice gamble at Hereford and if handling the quick turnaround raised 6lb could be the biggest danger to the selection. Kruger Park is also in form and is noted as well.
