After failing by just a neck at Newcastle when last seen HAZY GLEN really should be opening his account here. It looks a good opportunity on paper and I’m expecting the drop by to 2 miles on better ground to suit. He is still armed with a fair bit of potential but I would like to see him settle a bit better. I think he’ll keep improving as he gains experience and I’m confident he can get the job done with Jamie Hamilton back in the saddle. Ayiko is the interesting one now sent over hurdles and despite blowing out at Leopardstown he could be the one to pose the main threat to the favourite. Ridin Solo is another one in with a chance but he’ll need to improve again.

I was with SUPERVISOR at Ludlow last time and I thought he did it really well eventually jumping rivals into submission. He stays all day and remains lightly raced for his age so it would be no surprise to see him take another step forward here. Ned Fox takes a valuable 5lb off his back again and they seem to have developed a nice partnership. Unblinking was back to form going down just half a length at Taunton when last seen but that form has taken a knock with the winner Pedley Wood getting beat twice since. He is only 2lb higher though and still looks the biggest danger. Of the rest Bampton Star bumped into Major Fortune at Lingfield so also has form claims.
