INTELLOTTO was placed a couple of times on the Flat before making a successful start over hurdles at the Leopardstown Christmas meeting. The Joseph O'Brien-trained gelding handled heavy ground well when landing that 19-runner maiden and now takes a drop in class after tackling Grade 1 company at the same venue last month. Karl Des Tourelles caused a 100/1 shock when making a winning debut at Gowran Park on very testing ground and it will be interesting to see how he progresses from that run, while San Guido showed improved form when taking a Fairyhouse handicap in fine style.
Prediction : 1st Intellotto 2nd Karl Des Tourelles 3rd San Guido

Sligo bumper winner A PENNY A HUNDRED successfully switched to hurdles here in October and has filled the runner-up spot on both outings since in decent company. The selection had Judicieuse Allen about six lengths behind when second to smart stablemate Jade De Grugy in a Grade 3 at Fairyhouse last time. Bioluminescence is bred to appreciate this trip and comes here on the back of justifying strong support in a 2m4f Punchestown maiden. Annalecka won a point-to-point and a bumper before making a successful start over hurdles at Punchestown in January but hasn't progressed in two outings since. Sarah Beara has already gained some black type this season while Millstream Lady has progressed well from a lowly mark to win three handicaps.
Prediction : 1st A Penny A Hundred 2nd Bioluminescence 3rd Judicieuse Allen

HE FITZ IN won over this trip at Navan last autumn and was subsequently in front when falling at the last over fences at Sligo. The selection has filled the runner-up spot on all three outings since including at this venue on testing ground. Seangoell won this race back in 2021 and while without a victory since, gave cause for optimism when beating all bar Scarbrook over a similar trip at Thurles last time with Winter Carnival close up in fourth. Captain Jimmy easily won over three miles at Punchestown early last year and is edging back down to a competitive mark, while others to consider include Le Fanu and Eddies Pride.
Prediction : 1st He Fitz In 2nd Seangoell 3rd Winter Carnival

FIND A FORTUNE has come up against some useful sorts in maiden hurdles and appears to have found a decent opportunity to open his account. The Gordon Elliott-trained gelding was fourth behind subsequent Grade 1 winner Dancing City at Navan and has filled the runner-up spot on both outings since including over this trip at Thurles. Oscars Brother was second on all three point-to-point starts and made a bright start under Rules when runner-up to Largy Hill in a three-mile Cork maiden hurdle that has worked out well since. The Story So Far won a 2m2f bumper here at Christmas and should be suited by this step up in trip over hurdles. Givehimthehonour is fitted with cheek pieces as he switches back to a maiden from handicaps.
Prediction : 1st Find A Fortune 2nd Oscars Brother 3rd The Story So Far

ROYAL THIEF won four times for Henry de Bromhead and only weakened before the last when sixth in the Kim Muir at Cheltenham 12 months ago. The Fame And Glory gelding hasn't made much impact in valuable handicaps this season but should appreciate this drop in class. Falco Blitz beat R'evelyn Pleasure, who won a veteran's race here at Christmas, by seven lengths over this trip at Thurles while Young Dev is another new to this category to consider. The four-time course winner rallied strongly to win at Navan on his last completed start. Sir Bob enjoyed his finest hour when landing the Cork Grand National in November and now reverts back to fences.
Prediction : 1st Royal Thief 2nd Falco Blitz 3rd Young Dev

DUNDANIEL won twice in point-to-points before easily landing a hunter chase at Cork last Easter. The Getaway gelding has been placed in a couple of handicaps this term and lost any chance with a bad mistake at the last at Clonmel last month. Chosen Diamond made a winning start over fences in a 2m4f Naas handicap in November and reverted to hurdles earlier this year holding every chance when falling at the last in the Navan handicap won by Butty O Brien before filling the runner-up spot behind the progressive Aodhan May at the same venue last weekend. Macdermott won a maiden hurdle at Tramore last spring but hasn't impressed with his jumping since switched to fences this term including when runner-up to Farmers Lodge at Fairyhouse last time.
Prediction : 1st Dundaniel 2nd Chosen Diamond 3rd Macdermott

OUR SOLDIER made a promising debut when fifth to Goldinthemountains at the Leopardstown Christmas meeting and the third, Cantico, gave the form a boost by winning easily at Navan last month. The Edward O'Grady-trained gelding should benefit from that experience and on a line through Sky Lord has the beating of Jackmoon. The latter has been placed on both starts including when third behind the well-regarded Romeo Coolio at Fairyhouse. A Tipp For Gold appears to be progressing steadily with each run while Sommesky is a newcomer to note. The son of Soldier Of Fortune is a half-brother to a winner and hails from the family of The New One.
Prediction : 1st Our Soldier 2nd Jackmoon 3rd A Tipp For Gold
