This looks a weak 0-100 novices’ handicap chase and it looks a good opportunity for SIR ROCK (best priced at 11/8) to complete a hat-trick of wins. The Toby Lawes trained seven-year-old is unbeaten since going chasing and he won over this course and distance on his penultimate start which is a huge positive. That victory came off a mark of 93 by a neck and he followed up at Fontwell last time winning by 1 ¾ lengths off a mark of 96.
The handicapper has raised Sir Rock 4lbs up to a mark of 100 for that victory which is fair and I would be disappointed if he didn’t complete the hat-trick in this race.

Course and distance winner Winterwatch and stable debutant Ca Plane Pour Moi are both respected in this 0-115 handicap hurdle but preference instead goes to JUST OVER LAND (best priced at 2/1) who was an impressive 18 length winner last time. The Sam Thomas trained five-year-old was a beaten favourite on his first two runs this season at Chepstow but put in a career best effort last time following a wind operation.
Just Over Land won easily by 18 lengths in a five runner conditional jockeys race beating Activist who has since won twice and is now rated 16lbs higher. Just Over Land runs here off only a 10lb higher mark and should prove hard to beat if in the same form.

The Stella Barclay trained BOSSY PARKER (best priced at 15/8) is the only recent winner in the field and he should hold strong claims off top weights. The four-year-old had plummeted down the weights from a mark of 84 to 58 since joining the stable from Jonny Murtagh but showed much better form following a wind operation.
Bossy Parker won by an eased down 1 ¼ lengths over this course and distance last time which was worthy of a 5lb rise from the handicapper. The third and fourth have both won since to boost the form and he should prove hard to beat from Stall 4 with Callum Shepherd retaining the ride.
