Grey Dawning

Kicking off our most backed treble for Day 3 at Cheltenham is GREY DAWNING, another big hope for Dan Skelton following Langer Dan’s victory in the Coral Cup. This seven-year-old has not been out of the places in all completed starts.

He won both his bumper starts, three of his five hurdle starts and two of his four chase starts. A dual Grade 2 winner, Grey Dawning would have beaten Ginny’s Destiny for a second time at Cheltenham in December without a bad mistake late into the race. 

He made amends last time out by winning the Hampton Novices' Chase at Warwick and another personal best could be on the cards in this race. Grey Dawning has been backed in more than 27% of the betslips for the Turners Novices’ Chase, previewed here by Architect Tips.

Envoi Allen

The second most popular selection for Day 3 at the Cheltenham Festival is the 10-year-old ENVOI ALLEN for Henry de Bromhead, who has been in mighty form this week, winning a Grade 1 on each of the first two days at the meeting. 

Chasing his fourth Festival success, Envoi Allen is battling for favouritism with Stage Star and Banbridge, who's won nine of his 15 career starts and is unbeaten in two starts at Cheltenham. 

Envoi Allen features in nearly 35% of the bets through oddschecker for the Ryanair Chase.

Teahupoo

Gordon Elliott’s TEAHUPOO heads the betting for the Stayers’ Hurdle after claiming a second Hatton’s Grace Hurdle when last spotted. 

He finished third in this last year (promoted to second). Being at his best when the ground is soft, he must be thereabouts in Thursday's feature race. 

Teahupoo is way ahead in the betting for the Stayers’, taking 35% of the bets – his nearest challenger in that regard is Sir Gerhard with 9%.
